Principal
Jason meade
Jason Meade is proud to serve as Principal of Mill Creek Middle School. His career in education has included experience as a classroom teacher, football coach, and school leader. Those experiences have shaped his belief that great schools are built through meaningful relationships, high expectations, consistency, and collaboration. He is committed to creating a culture where students are challenged, supported, and known by the adults around them. His leadership is grounded in clear communication, instructional excellence, continuous improvement, and a genuine commitment to supporting students, staff, families, and the broader Mill Creek community.
Jason and his wife, Jessica, are the proud parents of two daughters, Savannah and Raleigh. He is excited to partner with Mill Creek students, staff, families, and the community in the work ahead and looks forward to continuing the strong tradition of Wildcat pride while elevating the excellence for every Wildcat.
8th Grade Assistant Principal
Stacy Krutz
Stacey Krutz brings more than 30 years of experience in education, including over 20 years as a school administrator. She is passionate about supporting students during the important and often challenging middle school years, believing that every student deserves encouragement, understanding, and the opportunity to grow.
Mrs. Krutz believes that each day is a fresh start. She strives to create a positive, supportive environment where students know it's okay to make mistakes, learn from them, and move forward. Her goal is to help every student feel valued, confident, and successful.
Outside of school, Mrs. Krutz lives in Woodstock with her husband and their two dogs—Bane, a French Bulldog, and Harley Quinn, a Goldendoodle. They have two children who both attended MCMS and graduated from River Ridge. One is a senior at Penn State University studying cybersecurity, and the other is a sophomore at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University pursuing a career as a professional pilot. This year, their family is excited to welcome a foreign exchange student from Italy, who will be attending River Ridge High School.
When she's not at school, Mrs. Krutz enjoys traveling and exploring new places with her family. She looks forward to another great year of building relationships with students and helping them navigate their middle school journey with CONFIDENCE and COMPASSION.
7th Grade Assistant Principal
Erin frey
Erin Frey is excited to serve as Assistant Principal at Mill Creek Middle School. She brings over 15 years of classroom experience as a middle school science teacher and spent five years with Discovery Education, traveling the country to provide professional learning and support to educators, visiting hundreds of schools along the way.
Ms. Frey is passionate about hands-on learning and creating engaging experiences that help students grow academically and personally. She is committed to building strong relationships with students, staff, and families to foster a positive school culture.
Outside of school, she enjoys traveling, hiking, reading, and cheering on the Dawgs with family and friends. Go Dawgs!
6th Grade Assistant Principal
Leigh Gutierez
Leigh Gutierrez serves as the 6th Grade Administrator at Mill Creek Middle School. Her educational career spans a variety of roles, including assistant principal, supervising student teachers, participating on leadership committees, and working as a classroom teacher. These diverse experiences have provided her with a strong foundation in instruction, leadership, and student support.
Leigh holds a Specialist Degree and remains committed to lifelong learning through ongoing professional development opportunities. Her passion for education and dedication to helping students and staff succeed are evident in her daily work.
Leigh and her family have proudly called Cherokee County home for more than 20 years. She values the strong sense of community, the relationships she has built, and the opportunity to serve the students and families of a county she loves.
